Yuvraj Singh returns from Cancer
Indian cricketer and world cup 2011 hero, Yuvraj Singh, who underwent three cycles of chemotherapy in Boston, United States for a rare germ cell cancer between his lungs, returned back to a rousing reception from family members and adoring fans.
Yuvi is definitely missing the action in the 5th edition of IPL. He plays for Pune Warriors Indian who is lead be Saurav Ganguli this year in his absence.
Received by his mother Shabnam at the Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi, Yuvraj came on a British Airways flight after spending some days in London to recuperate from the after-effects of the chemotherapy.
Yuvi, as he fondly known as, was flashing a victory sign with a smiling face as he came out of the airport. He is expected to be fit to take the field soon, his mother has revealed that he is advised to take 10-15 days rest.
Sachin Tendulkar welcomed Yuvraj Singh and wished him to recover soon on twitter
“Got well soon?. Welcome back home my brother after winning a tough battle with cancer.”
His head, which went bald during the treatment, was covered by a red sports cap. Wearing a red T-shirt teamed with Khaki pants, Yuvraj made his way through hordes of fans and waiting media personnel after coming out from back gate of the airport.
