Royal Challengers Bangalore aced Pune Warriors India by 35 runs with an all-round show in DLF IPL 2012. Chris Gayle’s merciless assault (57 off 31, 3×4, 6×6) stands set the tone for Dilshan Tillekeratne to deal in fierce cuts as the visitors piled up 173.

RCB bowling aces then took over, Zaheer Khan’s swing (2-21), Vinay Kumar’s pace (3-32), Muthiah Muralitharan’s guile (2-16) pushed the home team over the brink, ending with 138 for nine.

Twins strikes by Zaheer put the brakes on PWI before the chase got off the block. Manish Pandey lost his offstump to a beauty.
