Gayle guides Challengers to another victory

Chris Gayle, AB de Villiers steer Royal Challengers Bangalore to easy win in a fifth edition of Indian Premier League match against Kings XI Punjab at Mohali.

Chasing 164 runs to win , RCB scored the required run in 19.3 overs and five wickets in hand.

As usual Chris Gayle played a brilliant innings of  87 runs in just 56 balls with 8 fours and four sixes, while AB de Villiers gave good company to Gayle and scored 52 in 39 balls.

AB de Villiers and Gayle added 131 runs in the fourth wicket partnership.

Mohali witnessed another exciting knock by Gayle as he scored 87 runs from just 56 deliveries. He hit eight boundaries and four sixes in the innings.

P Awana picked up four wickets for Punjab.

David Hussey was the top scorer with 41 while Pakistan all-rounder Azhar Mahmood struck a 14-ball unbeaten 33.

Earlier today, Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Daniel Vettori won the toss and elected to field against Kings XI Punjab.
