Challengers crush Mumbai at Mumbai
Chris Gayle (82 not out) and Virat Kohli (36 not out) steered Royal Challengers Bangalore to a comprehensive 9-wicket victory over Mumbai Indians in a crucial Indian Premier League game at the Wankhede stadium.
Gayle and Kohli put on unbeaten 94 runs for the second wicket to help Bangalore register an easy win with two overs to spare and jumped to fourth in the IPL points table from seventh position. Chris Gayle smacked six huge maximums and five boundaries in his quick-fire 59 balls blitzkrieg as he earned the Orange Cap for becoming the highest run-getter in the current edition.
