Can Vinay Kumar be Valthaty for Royal Challengers in IPL5?
Vinay Kumar, a paceman from Royal Challengers Bangalore recently said having world-class bowlers like Zaheer Khan, Praveen Kumar, Muttiah Muralitharan and Daniel Vettori in their ranks would make his job easier in the fifth edition of the Indian Premier League.
But having said that, paceman Vinay has to outshine himself to be what Valthaty proved for Kings XI in the 4th edition of IPL. He has to do something extra-ordinary to keep his place in the Indian cricket team for a long time. Vinay is optimistic of his team winning the elusive title this year but advised his team to get the basics right and take one match each at a time.
He was picked up by RCB in this year’s auction, for $ 1 million, following his impressive performance in the recently-concluded tri-series against Australia and Sri Lanka.
He hopes that the explosive West Indies opener Chris Gayle will bring his Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) form to this year’s IPL.
Let’s hope he plays well and wins for his team.
